Deoksugung Art Museum

The annex of the National Museum of Contemporary Art at Deoksugung Palace was built in 1973 to exhibit modern art works, and it continued serving as the home to modern art in Korea for 13 years until 1986 when the National Museum of Contemporary Art moved to Gwacheon. The Deoksugung Art Museum, a branch of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, opened in Deoksu Palace in 1998.
